Chemical Peels & Facials

Chemical Peels use solutions of different acid types to improve the texture of facial skin. A thin layer of damaged skin cells is replaced by new, healthier skin that is smoother, less wrinkled and more even in color. The procedure can reduce or eliminate fine lines, correct blemishes and mild scarring from acne and other skin issues resulting from sun damage. Chemical peels range from mild to deep, depending on skin tone and desired outcome.

Dr. Tetenbaum uses the Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE product, which is a salicylic acid–based peel that provides instant results for most skin types. Improvements can be seen for a wide range of skin problems, including photodamage from the sun. This peel provides instant radiance - tighter, smoother, brighter-looking skin after just one use, with an overall improvement in texture and tone. There is little or no downtime for this popular "lunch time" peel. A series of 4 to 6 peels provides best overall results.
